Megan M. Buning is a former Division I softball athlete from the University of South Carolina with both international and professional playing experience. Upon completion of her playing career, she coached softball at Florida State, Coastal Carolina, and the University of Mississippi. During her time at Florida State, she earned her master’s degree in sport psychology followed by a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Mississippi. Currently, she is an assistant professor of research at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. Her research interests include coach-athlete relationships and the use of sports technology in the education classroom. In her spare time, she serves as a color analyst for the SECNetwork+station and the University of South Carolina softball team.
