Best Practice to Teach and Learn Fiscal Management in Athletic Programs

This study shares the best practice in teaching fiscal management in athletic programs with the compliance of the National Standards for Sport Coaches (NSSC; 2006). The objective of this presentation is to provide ideas, resources, and course activities in fiscal management of athletic programs. Topics in financial operation, purchasing and inventory distribution, fund-raising, and managing financial records, as well as different modules of fiscal management in athletic programs will be covered.

Dr. Anita N. Lee is an Associate Professor at Eastern Connecticut State University. She served as the Portfolio Review Coordinator of NCACE (2007–2010), and an active reviewer of the Journal of Coaching Education, Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology, JOPERD, active presenter at National Coaching Conference, AAHPERD, and EDA conferences.

Dr. Mei-Lin Yeh-Lane is an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at American International College, Springfield, Massachusetts. She is a Research Committee member of the Eastern District Association of AAHPERD, an active reviewer of JOPERD, an active presenter at AAHPERD, EDA, and Connecticut AHPERD annual conferences.
