Welcome to the New Human Kinetics Journals Site

Getting Started

If you previously had an account with a subscription to one of Human Kinetics' journals, your account was migrated to the new site. However, for security purposes, passwords were not migrated with existing accounts. Thus, all users who previously had an account must establish new passwords (see below for instructions for individuals and institution administrators). If you did not previously have an account with Human Kinetics Journals, please Sign Up!

If you previously had an account with a subscription to one of our journals, your account was migrated to the new site. Table of content alert data was also migrated, but any citation alerts or saved searches were not migrated. To access your account, you must establish a new password. Visit the Forgot Password page, enter the e-mail address associated with your account, and click Submit. You will receive an e-mail with instructions for resetting your password, which will establish a password on our new site. Log in and enjoy! Once logged in, we encourage you to review your account for accuracy. Specifically, at the top of the page, click on "My Stuff" and then "My Orders", where any purchased subscriptions are listed. If you believe any subscribed content is missing, please contact us.

Institution/Librarian Administrators

Institution accounts with current subscriptions were migrated to our new site, including any institution/librarian administrator associated with the account. We are thrilled to provide institution/librarian administrators with a dedicated Account Management System (AMS) to manage your institution's account. To access the AMS, please visit https://ams.humankinetics.com. When accessing the AMS for the first time, you will need to establish a new password. Click on "Forgot your password?", enter the e-mail address associated with the account, and click "Recover the password". You will receive an e-mail with instructions for resetting your password, which will establish a password that will be used to access the AMS and our new site. If you need help locating your username, please contact us.

After you have successfully logged in to the AMS, please verify your institution's access entitlements and IP ranges for access. If you believe any entitlements are missing, or if you need to request that IP ranges are added/adjusted, please contact us

Encounter a Problem?

Over the past several months we worked diligently to ensure this re-launch went as smoothly as possible. Of course, migrating our many valuable customers and 23,000+ journal articles is no easy task! We greatly appreciate your patience as we work to rectify any errors and troubleshoot any problems that may arise.

Access Issues

If you are having trouble logging in, please ensure you have established a new password. For security purposes, old passwords were not migrated to our new site. If you are still having access issues, please contact us

Missing Content

If you do not have access to your subscribed content, please contact us. If you believe any content is missing (for example, you find an issue is missing an article), please let us know (contact us).

Why We Re-Launched Our Site

At Human Kinetics, we strive to provide our customers with the best possible online experience and meet the needs of our readers and authors. This transition to a new platform host partner allows us to offer our customers new features (while retaining useful features), ease the online searching/reading experience, and pursue continual improvements and business ventures.

Not Just a New Look

We are proud to present the new look of Human Kinetics Journals, which was intentionally designed for web accessibility and mobile responsiveness. However, this re-launch is more than a new design. We hope you enjoy the new (and enhanced) functionality and features available, and find the design and function of the site easier to navigate. To help familiarize yourself with the new site and make the most of its features, please review this guide for users: Features Guide

Visit Our Resource Centers and Info Pages

As you become familiar with the new site, we encourage you to visit our dedicated resource centers, which provide targeted information for authors, editors, librarians, subscribers, and more. Additionally, dedicated pages are available to provide information on copyright and permissions, our ethics policy, FAQs, and more. You can access these resource centers and informational pages from anywhere on this site; simply select a topic from the navigation at top (under Resource Centers and Info & Services).

Thank you for visiting the new Human Kinetics Journals!
